Wellington Women & Girls 1st XI travelled to Huntspill for their 1st game under cup game rules, unlike pairs cricket when you're out, you're out!

Huntspill won the toss and chose to bowl, getting off to a strong start taking two wickets in 3 overs. However, Fiona Gibson hit some beautiful balls remaining in until she was retired at 40, as was Isla Hendy having batted very strongly for a number of overs. We also saw some great batting from Nicola Fasham (20*) and Charlotte Eve (11*) who both hit some lovely boundaries to get Wellington to 164 for 2 wickets.

Our bowling started well with some fast balls from openers Millie Sidney and Kate Herdman who kept the runs down followed by a debut over from Fiona Page-Turner playing her 1st match for Wellington. Zoe Seaton then took 2 wickets followed by another by Isla Hendy. Charlotte Eve took a fantastic catch off Hendy to dispatch a strong Huntspill batter. 2 good overs from Rosie Milne and some excellent keeping by Jess Eve kept the runs to singles and the innings finished on 122 for 4 wickets.
