Wellington were put into bat and although the lost an early wicket, Sam Whitefield and Arron Campbell (21) negotiated some tough conditions to get a platform. From the loss of Campbell, Whitefield took over as he stroked a glorious 118 through the rest of the innings, with support provided from Luke Desave (20) and Callum Hendy (25), as the red & blacks posted 232 from their overs.
In response, Bridgwater got off to a strong start but Toby Stirzaker (2-43) provided the opening they needed. Ryan Aingworth (2-24) and Campbell (2-32) then kept chipping in with wickets while keeping the runs in check as the run rate crept up, with Nathan Roberts (1-20) contributing too. The return of Stirzaker and Desave (3-32) brought a flurry of wickets as they ended Bridgwater's chances and won the game comfortably by 62 runs.
