Sachindu is also very capable with the bat and we believe he will add some very handy runs in the middle order, Although this is Sachindu’s maiden UK stint he is no stranger to overseas conditions having played franchise cricket in various parts of the world including recently the UAE & Oman. In his homeland Sachindu has played for Sri Lanka under 19s, under 23s and Presidents XI. He has also represented B-Love Kandy & Dambulla Vikings in the Lanka Premier League, Sri Lanka’s franchise T20 league rubbing shoulders with international stars such as Rovman Powell,David Miller & Carlos Brathwaite to name a few… Sachindu certainly brings an impressive cricketing career to Wellington.
