Wellington's indoor team played two Somerset Cricket Foundation Indoor League Division B games last Sunday evening and came out on top in both encounters as Arron Campbell's team were in good shape with both bat and ball on both occasions.
Taking on Ilton in the first game saw the Red and Blacks get put into bat, but that did not fase them as they totalled 142-2 in their 12 overs with Arron Campbell and Jacob Hurry leading the way with knocks of 37no and 29no respectively.
They had laid a platform to go on from and that is what Ben Evett and Toby Stirzaker did with scores of 26no and 25no; after this Ian Hewson and Will Derrick took to the crease for the last throes of the Wellington innings.
Ilton were never allowed to get a foothold in their chase of 143 to win as Will Derrick, Ian Hewson and Toby Stirzaker restricted run scoring at all times as Ilton subsided to 18-4 before Murphy and Casely with knocks of 13 and 10no ate up the full 12 overs of the Ilton innings.
There was a wicket for Ben Evett too.
Wellington had won by 93 runs and collected 23 good points.
