The club dinner and dance took place at Oake Manor on Saturday, October 14

We celebrated one of our most successful ever seasons on Saturday (October 14) night at Oake Manor. Our 1st XI and 2nd XI won their respective leagues, while the 3rd XI have achieved promotion from theirs.

The Clubman of the Year was awarded to Arron Campbell, who led the 1st XI to an unbeaten league title-winning season. The award was culmination of the last several seasons of hard work improving the club on and off the pitch.

Alex Derbidge scooped the Sportsperson of the Year as a result of his hard work on his game, while Sue Jarman won the Ladies Plate for her fantastic support on our many events led by our off-field committee.

In the team awards, Sandaken Pathirana unsurprisingly clean-swept the 1st XI awards, winning the Players Player of the Year as well as the batting and bowling awards. In the 2nds, Ollie Hunt won the Players Players of the Year for his crucial match-winning contributions, while James Brackenbury won the batting award and Alex Derbidge won the bowling.

For the 3rds, Charlie Burrough was chosen as the Players Player of the Year, with Connor Wickenden winning the bowling and Des Campbell winning the batting award. Jacob Hurry won the batting award for the Sunday XI, while Alex Derbidge got his third trophy of the night with the bowling.

Jack Beal also scooped up the award for most catches throughout the season, while all the individual 100s and 5-wicket hauls were rewarded.

Thanks go to the staff at Oake Manor for great service and food, and to Jason Toft for an excellent set as we danced the night away.
